I don&#39;t like L.A. It&#39;s just not fun. I don&#39;t know why, but I just don&#39;t get it. You have to drive to get everywhere, and when it rains everybody freaks out.

But after a moment a sense of waste and ruin overcame him. There they were, close together and safe and shut in; yet so chained to their separate destinies that they might as well been half the world apart.

I think that there&#39;s a lot more freedom in the low budget, the independent films where, unfortunately, you don&#39;t have the money, necessarily, to get the orchestras in there to play a lot of stuff. But, you have a lot more freedom, very often.
