There was no sense of guilt in her now, but only a desperate desire to defend her secret from irreverent eyes, and begin life again among people to whom the harsh code of the village was unknown.

He borrowed from others in order to make an impression on others. There’s your actual selflessness. It’s his ego that he’s betrayed and given up. But everybody calls him selfish.

When I left HEEP I didn&#39;t know what I wanted! It took me a long time to adjust to life away from the band and the only thing I knew was that I didn&#39;t want to repeat my mistakes!
