I love my garden, and I love working in it. To potter with green growing things, watching each day to see the dear, new sprouts come up, is like taking a hand in creation, I think. Just now my garden is like faith - the substance of things hoped for.

I studied acting at Boston University. I was in the theater department there. Somewhere in there I decided that wasn&#39;t what I was going to do and I went to the B.F.A. film program at N.Y.U.

Mrs. Deane was a thin-lipped woman, who made small well-considered speeches on peculiar occasions, repeating them afterwards to her husband, and asking him if she had not spoken very properly.
